| Extracurricular Activities
The diverse extracurricular clubs and organizations that Dominion offers each student is one example of what makes our campus unique. All provide an opportunity for those involved to grow spiritually, socially, physically and intellectually.
DoMissions, The DCHS Missions Ministry
DoMissions is a team of DCHS students, parents, faculty, and staff dedicated and eager to devote themselves to serve our community and beyond for the glory of God. Each year, students apply to be a part of school sponsored mission trips to areas in need. From 2003 through 2007, DoMissions has spent time ministering in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, the Gulf Coast, and Mexico as well as projects much closer to home. The team has made a long term commitment to the people of Juarez, Mexico and as result we will be returning to that area in 2008. For more information, visit our web site at www.DoMissions.org.
Rangers Outdoors, The DCHS High Adventure Outdoor Club
This distinctive program introduces students of varying skill levels to backpacking, rock climbing, caving, biking, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, and winter sports. One weekend of each month during the school year is dedicated to these activities that are unique to most high school experiences. For more information, visit our web site at www.RangersOutdoors.com.
Knight Vision, The DCHS Drama Ministry
Performing drama through music and acting, Knight Vision students communicate important truths about the gospel and it’s reality to us all. They promote the message of Christ to audiences at Dominion, other schools in our community, as well as to local churches. During the summer of 2007, Knight Vision used their distinctive performances to minister to the people of Juarez, Mexico during the DoMissions trip proving that there are no borders to the truth of God’s love.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. It is their mission to present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
Bible Study Groups
Dominion has a variety of student and faculty-led Bible studies for students that meet on and off campus after school hours. It is our desire to continue to disciple and equip students with the truth of God’s Word both inside and outside the classroom. These studies are an important part of this goal.
International Club
The International Club is an organization for international and internationally-minded students who enjoy cultural experiences as well as social and educational events. Off campus visits to places of cultural interest, international dinners, and meeting to discuss varying cultures are all a part of this organization.
Fine Arts Club
The Fine Arts Club gives students a broader view of art and the many forms it takes by going to area museums and exhibits to experience art in public forums. During Winter Break 2007, the AP Art class traveled to Italy and reveled in the beauty of art in Florence and Rome.
Cooking Club
Cooking Club is a great way to learn to cook or experience new techniques, widen your social circle and indulge in something you love to do. The members of the cooking club have served their delicious creations at school events, private functions, and DCHS Open House Expos.
Epicurean Society
Through scintillating conversation and intellectual stimulation, the Epicurean Society arms students with biblical defenses against vain philosophies and worldviews. By understanding other belief systems they reveal that the biblical worldview is the only view which gives an accurate description of reality.
